The Hard Truth - Conversations for coaches and practitioners who want to go deeper with their clients
Live webinar - Your clients can only go as deep as you've gone!
A conversation between psychotherapist Lisa Darveniza, founder of Awareness Work, and Lisa Gaines, ICF MCC, about the inner work that can quietly set a ceiling on your work with clients.
Join us for a FREE webinar:
- Time: 12pm to 1pm AEDT (Sydney/Melbourne/Canberra)
- Date: Monday 12th October 2026
- Will there be a recording if I can't make it live? Yes. It will be sent to everyone who registers and will be available to watch for a limited time.
- Will there be an ICF CCE available for this event? No, not this time.
There's a moment most of us know. When your client is close to something. You can feel it. And then you ask a question that moves away from that something, or you offer a reframe to help your client feel better in that moment. Then the moment passes, and an opportunity was missed.
You tell yourself you were following them.
Sometimes that's true. And sometimes we steer away from a place we haven't been able to go to ourselves.
This is the part of our development that doesn't show up on a credential. It isn't a gap in technique, and more skill development won't close it. It's about how much of your own experience you've actually turned towards, and how much you're still managing from a safe distance.
Lisa Darveniza has spent twenty-five years in exactly this territory. She's a counsellor and psychotherapist who built Awareness Work, an approach to the gentle resolution of core emotional wounding.
I've asked her to be honest with me about what she sees in practitioners. Including the ones who are very good at this.
What you'll take away
- A clearer sense of where your own ceiling currently sits, and what it may be costing the people you work with
- Lisa D's view of what actually shifts a core pattern, and why insight on its own so often isn't enough.
- One practice you can turn on this week, and if it works for you, you can share with your clients
